For those of you who haven't heard of Margaret Atwood, she is a Canadian poet, novelist, literary critic, essayist, and environmental activist. For me her most famous work was The Handmaid’s Tale, which was published in 1985. For those of you that get HULU (not us), their updated (2005 era) version premiers April 26, 2017. Here’s a link to her participation on a Science Friday Podcast that I find very interesting.
The Handmaid’s Tale is, to paraphrase the author, not a playful “what if” scenario, but a warning against a future of continual discrediting of the media. Check it out here.
